These tools ship fast, so check their own pages before you decide. We do not reproduce competitor screenshots or quote their prices, because both go stale and a stale number helps nobody.

Huntr and Teal both let you keep contact records, and that is genuinely useful. The gap is what happens next: a name in a list does not get you an introduction. Confreres lines your network up against the companies already in your pipeline, tells you where you have a connection, and drafts the ask.
Where Confreres is not the right pick
A comparison page that only flatters the tool writing it is worth nothing. Three honest reasons to choose something else.
No resume builder
We do not have one and are not building one. Teal and Huntr are well ahead here and it is a well-served category. Plenty of people use one of them for the resume and Confreres for the tracking and the introductions.
No application autofill
If your bottleneck is filling in the same form for the fortieth time, Simplify built its whole product around solving that and we did not. Huntr has autofill too.
No free plan
There is a 7-day trial with a card up front, then $8 a month. All three of the others have a real free tier. If you want to track applications without paying anything, start with one of them.
Switching from Huntr or Teal

Choosing a job tracker
What is the best job tracker app?
It depends which part of the search is hard. If the writing is the bottleneck, a resume-first tool fits. If the sheer volume of application forms is the bottleneck, autofill fits. If getting seen at all is the bottleneck, that is the case for a tracker with a networking layer.
What is a good Huntr alternative?
Confreres covers the same ground Huntr does, including a drag-and-drop pipeline, per-application notes and reminders, and adds the layer Huntr does not advertise: finding who in your network can introduce you to someone at the company, and drafting that ask. Huntr does have a resume builder and application autofill, which we do not.
Can I move my data from Huntr or Teal into Confreres?
There is no one-click importer today. Most people paste their live applications in by URL, which fills in the details automatically, then import contacts from LinkedIn and Google.
Does Confreres have a resume builder?
No, and we are not building one. It is a crowded category and we would rather be the best at the half nobody covers. Using Teal or Huntr for the resume and Confreres for tracking and introductions is a perfectly good setup.
