1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Confreres platform (“Service”), available at confreres.xyz and app.confreres.xyz, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“User,” “you,” or “your”) and Confreres (“we,” “us,” or “our”). We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on the Service and updating the “Last Updated” date. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Description of Service

Confreres is a personal CRM platform designed for job seekers. The Service provides tools to organize and manage job applications, track conversations with recruiters and hiring managers, set automated reminders for follow-ups, manage professional contacts, and view analytics and insights on job search progress.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. If we permanently discontinue the Service, we will provide you with a 30-day notice period to export your job search data and issue a pro-rated refund for the remainder of your active billing cycle. Otherwise, we shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification or temporary suspension of the Service.

3. Account Registration

To access certain features of the Service, you may be required to create an account. When creating an account, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to update such information as necessary to keep it accurate and complete.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security. We will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your account credentials.

You must be at least 16 years of age to create an account and use the Service. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information or violate these Terms.

4. Subscription Plans and Payments

Confreres offers subscription-based access to its features. Details of available plans, pricing, and features are described on our website. All fees are quoted in the currency displayed at checkout and are exclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless canceled beforehand. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. All fees are non-refundable; to avoid future charges, you must cancel before your next billing cycle begins. If your payment method fails or payment is not received, we reserve the right to suspend your access to the Service until the payment is successfully processed.

We own all rights, title, and interest in and to the Confreres software, branding, platform, and code.

You retain all ownership rights to the data you input into the Service, including your job applications, contacts, and notes. By using the Service, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive license solely to host, display, and process your data as necessary to provide the Service to you.

7. Privacy Policy Incorporation

Your privacy is important to us. Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By agreeing to these Terms, you also acknowledge and agree to the terms set forth in our Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimers of Warranty

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. Confreres expressly disclaims any warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be error-free, secure, or uninterrupted. Furthermore, we do not guarantee that using the Service will result in employment, interviews, or job offers.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall Confreres be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with the Service. Our total cumulative liability to you for any claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the total amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the claim.
